Leading the way in environmental management, The Gage Corporation International, through its affiliate company, was one of the first 10 facilities to earn ISO 14001 Environmental Registration in Wisconsin, Minnesota and Iowa.
One of only six companies to receive the Governor’s Award for Excellence in Hazardous Waste Reduction in 2000, Gage and its affiliate company continually strive to reduce the impact its business has on the environment. A recycling protocol is integrated into every step of the GageWoven production process. The manufacture of GageWoven uses very little energy. The process is an entirely cold-forming one that utilizes machines with the latest variable speed technology. The wire used for GageWoven is composed of at least 40% pre-consumer recycled steel. Less than 5% of the wire used in manufacturing becomes scrap and all of that scrap is recycled by a local recycling company that is ISO 14001 certified to further assure that our waste material is handled in a manner that respects the environment. |
